And this time it was encouraging and supporting Laurie Ceccan, Merger & acquisition manager for Airbus helicopters who participated in the 24th Rallye Aicha Des Gazelles Du Maroc that took place in Paris, place du trocadero, the only international off road rally for women, along with her team mate Caroline Chevallier.
Paris, city of light , each year attracts tens of million of tourists from around the world . It hosted the official start of the 24th edition of the Rallye Aïcha des Gazelles in Morocco , in the Trocadero gardens at the foot of the Eiffel Tower.
Dominique Serra , the founder and director of the Rallye Aïcha des Gazelles with the guest of honor Mr. Chakib Ben Moussa , the Ambassador of Morocco in France adorned the inaugural in the presence of media.
The team 155 was sponsored by Airbus Helicopters and RAMCO with a few others.
Ramco empowers Team 155- When Gas guzzling meets frugality !
Imagine you , a team mate and a 4WD truck in the sand dunes of Morocco. You have no smart phone , no GPS, no points of reference. Way too adventurous right? And imagine being in the same state for nine straight days with each day lasting an average of 10 to 13 hours.
The fascination grows when the daunting task is shouldered over 320 women between ages of 19 & 64 representing 24 countries, known to be Gazelles . And it is not the one who reaches first but the one with fewest kilometres who takes it all- A step towards an eco-friendly driving.
The gazelle needed to be courageous, determined, loyal, united, driven to push their boundary- the same values essential in today’s working life as well. And Ramco wanted to brace the integral of its foundation by encouraging these women to have a successful hit on the race for a sport that is traditionally male dominated and a tough master when it comes to support and funding.
After the foolhardy voyage of nine days, Lurie Ceccan’s owned car won the 5th rank in the“ Beauty Challenge Car “ and got a chance to present at the demo session by continental .They finished at the 21st position at “First Participation ranking”
